# Count the days that matter — and share them.

> Days until the exam, how old Mom turns, which wedding anniversary, how long since you quit, how far along the pregnancy is — LiLi Cal’s Days counts each with one of five kinds. Any of them becomes a share card: four styles, a 1080 × 1440 image ready for your camera roll or group chat. The cards below aren’t screenshots: the text comes from the app’s own calculation, and every style and switch works.

- **5** kinds: countdown, birthday, anniversary, elapsed, range
- **4** card styles: Calendar, Paper, Block, Ticket
- **1080 × 1440** pixel share image (3:4)
- **8** languages

## Five kinds, each counting its own way

Pick a kind when you add a Day: it decides what the big number says and what the line under it adds. Tap a card to use that Day in the share card below.

### Countdown — How long until

Exams, flights, documents that expire: the big number is days to go, and the day before it just says “Tomorrow”. Repeat monthly or yearly, with reminders days ahead.

- Exam, flight, visa expiry
- 🎓 Grad school exam: **64 days to go** (2 mo)

### Birthday — Turning how old, and when

Save a date of birth and the card shows both the days to go and the age they turn. Lunar birthdays are supported. Don’t know the year? Save it anyway — it just won’t show an age.

- Your own or family's birthday
- 🎂 Mom’s birthday: **4 days to go** (turns 60)

### Anniversary — Which year

Weddings, work anniversaries, the day you met: most days it counts down to the next one; on the day itself it says “Year 5 today” — the moment most worth sharing.

- Wedding, first day at work, first met
- 💍 Wedding anniversary: **Year 5 today** (1,826 days)

### Elapsed — How long since

Quitting smoking, a baby’s first days, being together: it keeps counting up. You choose whether the first day counts, and round numbers like 100 or 1,000 days are called out.

- Days since quitting, baby's age in days
- ❤️ Together: **Day 1,483** (4 yr)

### Range — How far along

Pregnancy, probation, a training plan: it has a start and an end. While it’s running you get a progress bar, days left and percent elapsed; before it starts, how many days until it does.

- Pregnancy, probation, project cycle
- 🏅 Half-marathon training: **47 days left** (85 days total · 45% elapsed)

## Share card

The same options as the share sheet in the app: pick a Day, switch the style, then choose whether to include the date, the lunar date and the signature.

Exported at 1080 × 1440 pixels on a light page — even when you share from Dark Mode, this is exactly what they’ll see.

## One Day, four styles

Same words, drawn four ways. Tap one to switch to it.

- **Calendar** — A tear-off calendar page: the big number is the date, with the Day written underneath. The most “LiLi Cal” of the four.
- **Paper** — Cream letter paper, a large serif number and a red seal — it suits any kind of Day.
- **Block** — The whole card in the Day’s own color with bold white numerals, like a poster.
- **Ticket** — A perforated tear line, monospaced numbers and DATE / DAY / LUNAR columns, like an admission ticket.

## How to share from the app

### Touch and hold in the list

In the Days list, touch and hold a Day › Share Card. The quickest way — no need to open it.

### From the edit screen

Open a Day and tap the share button at the top right. Unsaved edits are drawn too — it’s just an image, what you see is what you share.

### Pick a style, share

Choose a style, toggle the date, lunar date and signature, then tap Share Image. Saving, copying and sending go through the system share sheet, and your style and switches are remembered.

## FAQ

### Which devices can make share cards?

iPhone and iPad (iOS / iPadOS 17 or later) for now. A Day you’re still creating has no share button — until it’s saved there’s nothing to share.

### Could the card disagree with the number in my list?

No. The card and the list use the same calculation, so “days to go”, “turns 60” and “Year 5” read exactly the same in both.

### Will attachments end up in the image?

Never. Attachments are often things like ID photos, so share images leave them out entirely.

### If I share from Dark Mode, is the card dark?

No. The card is always a light page and its text size doesn’t follow Larger Text, so the other person sees exactly what you previewed.

### Where does the card’s color come from?

From the Day’s own color, darkened until white text reads clearly; Days without a color use the terracotta of the Warm Paper theme. To change it, change the Day’s color in its edit screen.

### Does the card follow my app language?

Yes. Card text follows the app’s language, in all 8 languages; the signature reads “LiLi Cal” (“历历” in Chinese). Lunar dates themselves stay in Chinese.

## Start counting the days you care about

LiLi Cal is one app on Mac, iPhone and iPad, and your Days sync between them through iCloud. Share cards are on iPhone and iPad.

Card text is calculated by the app for the demo date of October 16, 2026, word for word what the app would share; the page approximates iOS system fonts with your browser’s, so small details may differ.
