# About us

> We make small, focused apps for the Mac. LiLi Cal is one of them — a calendar and tasks companion that lives in your menu bar.

## What LiLi Cal does

### Your real calendar, not a new silo

LiLi Cal reads and writes the system Calendar and Reminders through Apple's EventKit. No new account, no separate database — your events and tasks already sync across your devices through iCloud.

### Tasks and Pomodoro in one panel

A Tasks tab grouped by overdue, today, upcoming, and no date. Type a title and press Return to add one, then start a Pomodoro on it and watch the countdown in the menu bar.

### Holidays for every region you care about

Public holidays for ~150 countries, or any iCal / webcal link, each in its own color. China's statutory holidays with make-up workdays (调休) and Hong Kong's are built in, and the Chinese lunar calendar is there when you want it.

### Days — the dates you keep counting

Birthdays, anniversaries, deadlines, and date ranges, kept current for you: five ready-made types, yearly repeats, reminders ahead of time, and a countdown widget for your desktop.

## What we care about

Apps that do one job well and feel at home on macOS: there when you click, out of the way when you're done, and built on the system apps and conventions you already use.

## Your calendar stays yours

LiLi Cal has no account, no analytics, and no tracking. Your events and tasks live in the system Calendar and Reminders — and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. Days and settings sync through your own private iCloud database, which we cannot read. We run no servers that store your data, and the holiday feeds the app fetches carry nothing about you.

## Free while in early access

LiLi Cal is a free download on the Mac App Store while it is in early access, and it will become a paid app later. Download it while it is free and it stays yours, updates included — only new users will pay.
